New way to fix leaky waders
I have a friend who had a pair of leaky waders from last year. He purchased a roll of "FLEX SEAL TAPE" at Home Depot. He taped the seams inside the waders and tried them out Friday night. He was up to his waste for a 3hr casting session and happily reported when the night was over that he was completely dry. Although, some of you might already be doing this I had never heard of anyone doing this to repair waders and figured I'd share.

The tape is 4" wide and comes in 5ft lengths for about $15 at Home Depot.

Definitely worth a try. I'm on my way to Home Depot.
Thanks for the awesome tip Leif…small item easy to fit in with your gear and so simple, most would never think of it. I will add it to my gear  bag for the truck.

Took a hook through my waders on Saturday night. I picked up a 2 pack of the flex tape today. This stuff sticks great. I put a small piece on the inside of my waders and had a hard time peeling it off. I have know doubt that this will hold.

Wanted to follow up with the repair of my waders using the Flex Tape. Unfortunately, it was a failure. First, I tried patching them from the inside. It did not take long before they started to leak. The second time I patched them from the outside and again they started to leak. The only difference the second time was that the patch did not come completely off. The waders I was repairing were Breathable waders. The results might be different on the Neoprene of PVC waders.
