There have been gannets working in Orient Harbor for the past 2 weeks. They are stunning as they plunge into the water after their prey with huge splashes…..one after another.
Every time I spot them on the causeway I have to stop and watch in amazement……
Bait is here!
Yeah, I saw gannetts in Hallocks Bay a few times last week. I also saw them diving off Cleaves Point. They are the first sign that bait is moving through, soon to be followed by the predator fish. Get ready!
With the mild winter we just had and this weeks very warm temps, I'm sure the creeks have bass. Maybe not point fish but fish. Bluefish should be 2 weeks away.
